This 10-1/4" sharpening steel has a triple riveted black POM handle with a SS ring and protective bolster.
If you are the kind of person that needs to have sharp knives every day, a sharpening steel is a must for keeping your knives as you like them. This one has enough length for sharpening long knives, like the butcher and slicing knives.
Made of Molybdenum Vanadium stainless steel bar that has been tempered at 1900°F using precision Swiss equipment, for better sharpness and rust resistance. Hardness is 54-56 RC.
Handle is made of Polyoxymethylene (POM), a highly resistant and stable polymer.

The sharpening steel bar is dishwasher safe, however, for lasting sharpness, drying with a soft cloth immediately after machine or handwashing is recommended.
