This Japanese style cleaver has a 7-1/8" precision stamped and forged blade, which is the highest quality you can expect; and is coated with black non-stick Teflon for smoother cuts. It's full tang, with a POM synthetic handle, triple riveted.
This lightweight cleaver is an all-purpose tool, excellent for preparing fish for sushi, thinly julienning vegetables for Thai food or for many other Asian food preparations. The advantage in comparison to a chef's knife or utility knife is the spatula function for moving the food around. Practical and convenient. A must-have in every kitchen, suitable for amateur chefs and home cooks.
Blade made of Molybdenum Vanadium stainless steel, is 7-1/8" long and 1/16" (2 mm) thick. Blade is coated in black non-stick Teflon and has 53-56 RC hardness. Handle is made of Polyoxymethylene (POM), a highly resistant and stable synthetic polymer.

Cleaver is corrosion resistant and dishwasher safe, however, for lasting sharpness, a quick dry with soft cloth is recommended immediately after washing.
